Distinguished Teaching Awards

Encouraging outstanding performance

The Distinguished Teaching Award for Full-time Faculty is an important way by which the University can recognize, foster, and encourage outstanding performance by its members. Each member of our campus community can nominate individuals who are deserving of such recognition.

The Improvement of Learning Committee has been selected through the Office of Academic Affairs, and they will review the nominations for The Distinguished Teaching Award for Full-time Faculty. Recommendations are given to the EVCAA and Chancellor.

The Distinguished Teaching Award for Adjunct Faculty will have a separate nomination call next month. This award process is being updated to reduce the workload associated with nominations and reviews while maintaining its focus on recognizing outstanding teaching by adjunct faculty. The recipient will still be recognized at the December awards ceremony.
