Each year, IU 51ÁÔÆæ’s top student organizations and student leaders receive recognition for going above and beyond to create memorable and meaningful experiences for students, both within their organizations and beyond.
Student Organization Awards
Individual Award Categories
(Eligible recipients: Individual student AND a student group)
Making connections and demonstrating support for communities beyond the classroom is an essential skill for any modern-day leader. This award recognizes individuals and student groups engaged in community projects ranging from local events to global initiatives.
At IU 51ÁÔÆæ, education extends beyond the classroom through programs such as study abroad, service-learning, and academic research. Holistic learning enhances the educational experience for our students, and through collaboration between faculty and students, innovative initiatives help shape the way we function as an institution of higher learning. The Innovation Award is presented to a faculty member and student(s) who have worked together on a project that addresses a need on campus, in the surrounding community, or beyond.

The Outstanding Faculty/Staff Member Award honors faculty and staff who demonstrate exceptional support for students' education, academic success, and involvement. Recipients embody the qualities that make IU 51ÁÔÆæ exceptional.
Organization Award Categories
(Eligible recipients: Individual student AND a student group)
Making connections and demonstrating support for communities beyond the classroom is an essential skill for any modern-day leader. This award recognizes individuals and student groups engaged in community projects ranging from local events to global initiatives. Nominees may participate in efforts addressing social issues such as environmental justice, social justice, economic and social equality, community building, education initiatives, and child advocacy, among others.
(Eligible recipients: Non-Greek, Student Organization)
This award recognizes a student organization that has made a significant impact in advancing its mission through contributions to IU 51ÁÔÆæ. The recipient will have demonstrated consistent flexibility, a strong commitment to leadership development, collaboration with other groups, and programmatic efforts that enhance campus life. The Outstanding Student Organization serves as a role model for other organizations on campus.
Grenadier Cup
The Grenadier Cup is a year-long competition designed to celebrate and reward student organizations that actively contribute to campus life at Indiana University 51ÁÔÆæ. Inspired by the spirit of friendly rivalry, this award encourages student orgs to earn points through participation, leadership, service, and school spirit.

How to Earn Points
Points can be earned through:
- Signature events like Grenadier Games, Gus Rush, IUS Fest, and Calling All Grenadiers
- Monthly Leadership Workshops and the Leadership Summit
- Attending athletic games and supporting fellow Grenadiers
- Participating in volunteer opportunities, commencement help, and pop-up events
- Engaging in service projects like MLK Day of Service
- Attending the Emerging Leaders Conference
