Requesting materials for Library purchase
The Library’s collection is shaped largely by faculty requests to support student instruction, general education, and faculty research.
Individuals who are not faculty members can recommend Library purchases.
Faculty
IU 51ÁÔÆæ faculty can request monographic materials—including print and e-books, sound recordings, scores, and videos—through the Library’s Faculty Purchase Request Form.
Journal and database needs are considered case by case; contact IU 51ÁÔÆæ Librarians at selibres@iu.edu.

Students, staff members, and others
If you are a student, staff member, or community member, or you could not be authenticated into the Library Purchase Request form, you can recommend a purchase.
Recommendations will be reviewed by our librarians and selected for addition to our collection based on the needs of our library.
